The Basics
MyPressKit is a platform for creating and hosting press kits for video games. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.
Accounts
- You need an account to create press kits or access the dashboard.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- One person per account. Don't share accounts.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use MyPressKit.
- We can suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.
Your Content
- You own everything you upload (screenshots, logos, descriptions, videos, etc.). We don't claim any rights to your content.
- By uploading content, you give us permission to host, display, and serve it as part of your press kit. That's it.
- You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to everything you upload. Don't upload content you don't own or have permission to use.
- We can remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.
Acceptable Use
Don't use MyPressKit to:
- Host content that isn't related to games or game development
- Upload malware, phishing pages, or anything harmful
- Impersonate other developers or studios
- Scrape, crawl, or abuse the platform or API
- Circumvent subscription limits or feature restrictions
- Upload illegal content or content that infringes on others' rights
Press Kit Visitors
Press kits are designed to be viewed by journalists, influencers, and the public. By publishing a press kit, you're making that content publicly available. Media assets on published press kits are intended for press use (coverage, reviews, articles).
Embargo System
MyPressKit offers an embargo system that lets developers restrict press kit access until a set date. If you're granted early access to an embargoed press kit, you agree not to publish or share any embargoed content before the embargo date. Violating an embargo is between you and the developer, not MyPressKit. We provide the tool, not the enforcement.
Subscriptions and Billing
- Free accounts get limited features. Paid plans unlock more.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe.
- You can cancel anytime. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
- We can change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions stay at their current price until renewal.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Email us if you have a billing issue.
API Access
Publisher and Platinum plans include API access. Don't abuse it. Rate limits apply. We can revoke API keys if you're causing problems or violating these terms.
Availability
We do our best to keep MyPressKit running, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We're not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions. Back up anything important.
Termination
You can delete your account anytime from your settings. We can also terminate accounts that violate these terms. When an account is deleted, all associated data (games, press kits, media) is permanently removed.
Liability
MyPressKit is provided "as is." We're not responsible for how people use your press kit content, whether your embargo is respected, or any losses from using the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months.
Changes
We can update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via email or a notice in the app. Continuing to use MyPressKit after changes means you accept the new terms.
